The Applied Voice Input Output Society
Washington DC Chapter
Our goal at AVIOS-DC is to establish a bridge between the world of academic research and that of the enterprises that deploy of real-life speech solutions. By the same token, many of the real life problems faced by enterprise deployments are overlooked by researchers who tend to deal with problems in sanitized environments.
Our forum will also aim to ensure that the valuable insights and data collected by enterprise deployments are available to research projects in speech and voice user interface design.
We plan to bring guest speakers, organize workshops and establish an outreach program to students and young professionals interested in the exciting world of speech and voice interface solutions.
